Breaking news:-Speaker Of House Of Assembly Impeached, New Speaker Emerges With Immediate Effect

The Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Rita Maduagwu, has been impeached.Maduagwu was impeached by 22 out of 30 Members of the State House of Assembly.She was impeached following a motion moved by a Member of the House, Hon. Ikemba Uzoezie, and seconded by Hon. Onyebuchi Offor.Part of the reasons for her impeachment, were stated as financial impropriety, gross misconduct, and docility.Ikemba Uzoezie, a member of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, representing Aguata 11 State Constituency, has been announced as the new Speaker.
